What you'll be doing:
- Manage and develop a portfolio of clients, ensuring delivery of statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, and compliance work
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing clear and practical financial advice
- Review statutory accounts and tax computations prepared by junior staff
- Oversee management accounts and client reporting, adding value through insight and analysis
- Support clients with tax planning, VAT, audits, and general business advice
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and advise clients accordingly
What we're looking for:
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong experience within an accountancy practice
- Proven experience managing client relationships
- Solid understanding of UK accounting standards and tax legislation
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior staff
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proactive and commercially aware mindset
- Experience with TaxCalc and Xero (desirable)
- Audit experience or RI status, or working towards it (desirable)
- Experience working with SMEs (desirable)
